Over the last three years of my undergraduate education the HAEA has been supportive every step of the way. Their support has given me the opportunity to attend law school this coming fall. I am extremely blessed and grateful to have the HAEA behind me and my academic endeavors. Law school is going to be a large expense and the HAEA scholarship program has lessened this financial burden, in addition to allowing me to focus more on academics and less on finances. The HAEA has continued encourage and motivate me to continue my education, and I will be forever grateful.
I am honored to have received this scholarship. This HAE Scholarship will help my family with educational costs and allow me to achieve higher education with my personal goals to help make the world a better place. I will be attending West Virginia University in the fall of 2018. I plan on studying Civil Engineering and Public Policy and hope to eventually work for the government in the form of a City Manager. It is my hope that I can prepare cities for the future for whatever may arise.
Since I first started my college search process, my biggest concern was not being able to pay for school or having to put a heavy burden on my parents. I currently attend the State University of New York at Fredonia where I am a double major in Theatre Arts and Communications: Public Relations. This is my second time receiving this scholarship and it means SO much to me. After seeing that my balance was reduced by $2,500 my freshman year eased my mind! Knowing that I have more aid for the upcoming school year, some of my doubts regarding returning to school have been relieved. Now I can concentrate solely on my academics! In the long run, it will lower the overall balance of my post-grad debt, allowing me to focus more on getting started in my career! I am extremely grateful!
The HAE scholarship has lightened the financial burden of college and allowed me to attend the school of my dreams. The HAE scholarship program has also provided opportunities for me to get more involved in HAEA and meet other college students and children with Hereditary Angioedema. I am so thankful for their generosity and interest in getting more people involved and giving back to our special community.
My family and I are very grateful for the HAE Scholarship. In August 2018 I'll be attending Goucher College in Maryland. I am very excited to continue learning and pursuing my passion for music, singing, and travel. I have been traveling all over the world to learn music from different parts of the world directly from musicians in those communities around the world. Having HAE has made it a little harder for me but it never stops me and I always find a way. I am excited to continue learning about music throughout college and this generous scholarship really helps my family with those scary college expenses.
